Well, as you can see I have once again neglected the blog a bit. So many exciting things have happened in my life recently that it just hasn't been at the forefront of my mind.
However, I love this blog thing a lot, so I think it's time for me to take it more seriously. In order to do that I have decided to take the rest of the year to get all of my ducks in a row and then allow the New Year to be the beginning of bigger and better things for Life as a Blog! So stay tuned, because I have a lot of things brewing and I cannot wait to share them with you!
Happy holidays everyone! I will see you in 2014!
Thanks for reading.

Not-So Traditional Hair Color
Since I was a Senior in high school, I have had red hair. Obviously, it isn't natural, but It's %100 me now, and I don't plan on changing it.
HOWEVER, have you seen the Katy Perry documentary? Because now I really just want candy colored hair.
She is so stunning! Ever since watching "Katy Perry: Part of Me", I can't stop thinking about how I want to rock a non-traditional hair color.
Here are some images that are keeping me inspired.
I think my favorite is the last one. Lavender hair is just super appealing to me right now! I looove it! And how unique is that first soft blue color? So cool.
At what point in your professional life can you commit to doing something like this to your hair? Obviously it's not for everyone, nor would it be appropriate in every office, but it'd be pretty cool if you worked somewhere where it wouldn't be a big deal!
I don't know. I'm not bold enough to do it right now, but in the future I want to. I think it'd be cool to do right after having my first kid haha. (which is not happening soon, plenty of time to think about it)
What color would you dye your hair right now if work (or whatever else might hold you back) wasn't an issue!?
Thanks for reading!

Save Snail Mail
First things first ..... I can barely handle this adorable illustration from Lydia Nichols. Please visit her site! She does great things.
Recently I have been really getting a kick out of sending and receiving letters and packages. It's just a fun thing to do, and it generally takes minimal effort, but a whole lot of thought! And that's what really matters.
I know that the mail system isn't as hoppin' as it used to be, but it's something that I never want to see go away. Memories of receiving holiday and birthday cards from my friends and family will always make me smile.
If you've been pondering mailing a letter or note to someone, do it! It's so fun. Try being pen pals with a friend or family member who lives far away, or maybe just start making a point to send birthday cards to your friends and family every year (this is definitely something I want to start doing!).
Needing some more encouragement to start utilizing snail mail? Try some of these creative ideas and have fun with it!
Try making some DIY envelope liners with this tutorial from Cotton & Flax
Make your own envelopes from some scrap paper you have lying around. Martha Stewart and the crafts dept. blog make it easy!
Get some adorable stationary that you can't imagine NOT using! Like these gorgeous cards from Rifle Paper Co. (you really cannot go wrong with Rifle, explore their site if you haven't already! You will fall in love!)

BONUS
If you could be pen pals with anyone ever, who would it be? I should probably answer this question now, but I really need to think about it for awhile! So many options .....
Well I hope you are all having a wonderful day, and I hope even more that you are thinking about sending a lucky someone a letter very soon!

Friday Quote-day
Hey guys!
Just wanted to share a few quotes to help you power through this Friday! I haven't had the smoothest week and sometimes just reading a few encouraging words is all I need to feel better.

"You are are under no obligation to be the same person you were five minutes ago."

"Be smart, be thoughtful and be generous."
- Ashton Kutcher
"Spend a little more time making something of yourself and a little less time trying to impress people."
- The Breakfast club
"Nothing is more powerful than allowing yourself to truly be affected by things. Whether it's a song, a stranger, a mountain, a rain drop, a tea kettle, an article, a sentence, a footstep...feel it all - look around you- all of this is for you. Take it and have gratitude. Give it and feel love."
- Amelia Olson
Thanks for reading everyone! Have a great weekend.

A Refresher
Hi everyone!
So it's been about three weeks since I've posted. I started an internship and it has been keeping me extremely busy, but in the best way possible. Getting back into the working world has been great but intense, and I'm finding myself needing some refreshers for the start of this week. A way to recenter myself, if you will.
Mind Refresher
Yoga is something that I feel gives my mind a clear and refreshed feeling. So here's a precious illustration that I came across with a simple morning sequence.

Body Refresher
I've been an advocate for lemon water for awhile now, but realized recently that I have not enjoyed this refreshing drink since I moved to Denver. So I definitely plan on working it back into my daily water intake (which I discuss some of my journey with here).
I love this post from the blog New Nostalgia that gives 5 Reasons to Drink Lemon Water in the Morning!
BONUS:
And with all of this refreshment, why not refresh your wardrobe? I have been working on rebuilding my closet recently with staples and a more consistent personal style. I have been living by this four part Building A Wardrobe Series by real girl glam! It is so helpful and basic. I even made a pinterest board to store ideas for items to create my perfect wardrobe.
Along with getting refreshed I'm hoping to be better about posting. I miss it a lot, so I plan to make more time for it. I think it's absolutely essential to make time for hobbies always and I've been neglecting mine a bit lately.
Well, thanks for reading!
Bye friends.
